About the Association
The Albanian Canadian Community Association of Toronto was officially registered as a non-profit in November 1990 after years of dedicated effort by community leaders.
The Association serves as a cultural, educational, and humanitarian pillar for Albanians across Ontario, preserving heritage and promoting meaningful participation in Canadian society. The Association’s emblem symbolizes unity across Canadian provinces.
Our History
Early Community Efforts
Efforts to create the Albanian-Canadian Community Association based in Toronto began long before the organization was officially founded. Members of the Albanian community shared the vision of creating a unified organization that would represent and support Albanians living in Canada.
Preliminary Creation of the Association
A group of dedicated and passionate members of the Albanian-Canadian community hold their first ever community meeting, with the intention of growing the meeting and membership into something larger across the GTA
Official Registration
The Albanian-Canadian Community Association (ACCA) is formally created, and over 100 members of the community attend its inaugural meeting
July, 2000
ACCA Funds the Build of a Health Clinic
In a first campaign of its kind, ACCA mobilized the community in the GTA in support of building a much needed health clinic in Nikaj, Kosovo. This clinic serves as a valuable resource and health centre not only for Nikaj, but for surrounding villages as well, and continues to operate to this day.

ACCA organizes the first ever flag raising of the Albanian flag at Toronto City Hall, this starting a long tradition of the Albanian flag being raised annually at City Hall or at Queen's Park

ACCA in collaboration with sister Albanian-Canadian associations in Ontario, organizes a rally at Queen's Park in celebration of the declared independence of Kosova. This becomes one of the largest, most publicly visible events ACCA has held

With the tireless efforts of the ACCA Board, November is officially declared Albanian Heritage Month in Ontario Present

ACCA continues to expand its community outreach and collaborations, not only by hosting a variety of events for the community throughout the year, but also in supporting individuals in the community, and working in collaboration with government representatives and sister organizations to ensure that the Albanian-Canadian cause and voices are proudly heard and nurtured
Our Mission
The Albanian Canadian Community Association is a non-profit organization that provides a voice for the Albanian community of Ontario, helping to develop Albanian culture, art and heritage in Ontario. It fulfills this mission by fostering Albanian values, culture, traditions, and language through diverse programs and services designed for all age groups within the Albanian community. The Albanian Canadian Community Association is committed to ensuring the dignified inclusion of Albanians in Canadian society, promoting the reputation and values of Albanians across Canada, and advocating for their full and equal representation within governmental and social institutions in Canada’s multicultural landscape.

ACCA’s objective is to host and facilitate Albanian and Albanian-Canadian cultural events in Toronto, and the GTA.
Humanitarian Support
ACCA has a long and proud history of social justice actions and community fundraising
initiatives to support the building of schools, to provide health supplies to those in need,
and to arrange educational workshops for the elderly.
